A collection of flash games to contribute to you being unproductive.

Robot Unicorn Attack- Yes, you probably heard about this one for weeks after it came out, but I still personally think it's the king of all flash games.

Doodle God- You can easily waste hours finding all the combinations in this one.

Coma- Beautiful, atmospheric, and slightly creepy.

Looming- Another beautiful, creepy game, you'll end up thinking about it quite a bit after finishing.  It has several endings. 

Frantic 2- Bullet hell, plain and simple.

Pixelvader- Another Bullet Hell, less frustrating than Frantic.

Robot Wants Kitty- I have yet to complete this game, but it is horribly fun/frustrating.

Machine

 

Dear humans,

I've broken this beautiful Machine. I'm not sorry.

It's become to much. I've tired of patching the pipes. I now watch them, listen to them, feel them burst and fill the room with acidic vapor. I'm not sorry.

I watch the gears jam. And the cogs break. And crack. I no longer wish to replace them. I'm not sorry.

I now listen as sirens go off. Screaming, wailing, screeching. I've tired of repairing this Machine. Warning lights flash red. Crimson. Carnelian. I'm not sorry.

I feel the sting of the vapor in my eyes, nose, throat. The thousand wounds acquired repairing the machine. I'm not sorry.

You will understand. I don't expect to be forgiven.

The Return of the Return of BabelFish: Legendary Pokemon edition

Yet another BableFish post, but I did promise this one.  Legendary Pokemon this time.

Articuno(HeartGold) Original: The magnificent, seemingly translucent wings of this legendary bird Pokémon are said to be made of ice.  Translation: Bird Pokémon of this legend being magnificent, on the surface the translucent wing is said that it has consisted of the ice.

Mew(Emerald) Original: A MEW is said to possess the genes of all POKéMON. It is capable of making itself invisible at will, so it entirely avoids notice even if it approaches people.  Translation: Ringing is said that the gene of all POKéMON is owned. That is not visible and that itself it is possible to make free, therefore getting near to the people, you avoid notification completely. (Apparently Mew is known as Ringing in Japan)

Ho-Oh(Ruby/Sapphire) Original: HO-OH’s feathers glow in seven colors depending on the angle at which they are struck by light. These feathers are said to bring happiness to the bearers. This POKéMON is said to live at the foot of a rainbow.  Translation: The feather of HO-OH shines with 7 colors with the angle which is struck by the light/write. These feathers are said that it comes having happiness in the bearer. This POKéMON is said that you live in the feet of the rainbow.(SO according to Ho-oh, I live in the feet of the rainbow.  How did I not know this?)

Rayquaza(Ruby)  Original: RAYQUAZA lived for hundreds of millions of years in the earth’s ozone layer, never descending to the ground. This POKéMON appears to feed on water and particles in the atmosphere.   Translation: Of several hundred million years of ozone layer of earth you have not lived and the [te], get off RAYQUAZA never in the land. This POKéMON seems the water of the atmosphere and that is given with the particle.(This makes no sense 0_o)

Cresselia(HG/SS)  Original: Those who sleep holding CRESSELIA’s feather are assured of joyful dreams. It is said to represent the crescent moon.  Translation: The person who feather possession ones CRESSELIA sleeps delightful dream is secure. It means that month of crescent-shaped is displayed.(What?)

Suicune(Emerald)  Original: SUICUNE embodies the compassion of a pure spring of water. It runs across the land with gliding elegance. It has the power to purify dirty water.  Translation: SUICUNE materializes the sympathy of the pure spring of the water. That moves crossing the land of the elegance which it slides. That has the power which purifies the water which becomes dirty.(It slides! =D)

Giratina(HG/SS)  Original:This Pokémon is said to live in a world on the reverse side of ours, where common knowledge is distorted and strange.  Translation: It is said that this Pokémon is twisted, widely known fact in the place where it is strange lives in the world of reverse side of our ones.(Wat?)

Watchers

I've been left to my own devices.  I don't know if I'm safe, I'm being watched, they're everywhere.

SlenderMan: Not really a concern.  He visited recently, and even if he took me away again, I'm sure I'd be fine.  Slendy's pretty harmless.

Chemistry:  The Asiatic water buffalo/Minotaur spirit that's been my foe as of late.   While VultureGirl was merely unnerving, Chemistry is openly hostile.  He rifles through my things, leaps through my line of sight, and has actually touched me.  Concerning, but still not the biggest threat.  He fears bells.

The Devourers in the Darkness:  Unidentified creatures that lurk outside, drawing is like a bad police sketch; mostly guesswork, likely very inaccurate. They watch me through the windows, and are of highest concern.  They want to eat me, and I don't know what scares them, nor what kills them.  I see their glinting fangs as I type this.  I just heard one outside.

Friendship and the Spirit World

When the year started, I told myself I'd see my human(oid) friends more often, and meet the ones I have yet to meet.  This has not gone well so far.  Why?  The Spirit Folk, along with some extra-dimensional beings, have been eating up much of my time, energy, and sanity.  Here is a (likely incomplete) catalogue of my new "friends"

• SlenderMan:  (see illustration) He's not as evil as people think.  I usually have no memory of our meetings, and it's strange to wake up some mornings with hair full of twigs and and clutching a near-illegible, hastily written letter that's a combination of english, a long-dead nordic script, and eldritch symbols.  I kinda wish I could read them, is anyone reading this an expert in dead and extra-dimensional languages?

• VultureGirl:  A curious creature, she turned up after an interesting bout of horrible illness.  My best guess regarding her identity is that she's a Psychopomp of unknown origin.  She was corpselike, with grey skin, she had no eyes as far as I could tell, I believe she could only see through her mask, as she did not want it removed or touched.  She had talons on her hands, and was almost always crouching. She moved in a quadrupedal fashion.  She never spoke, and her face was mostly emotionless.  Her only interest seemed to be watching me, staring through her feathered mask. When she wasn't carefully watching me, she was eating corpses of thought on my bed, which I hardly appreciated, she on more than one occasion offered me an arm from one of the corpses.  I haven't seen her for several days, I suppose she's figured I'm not dying any time soon.  I miss her now that she's gone, I wonder where she went.

• Nyarlathotep:  The only one I have regular visits with, and the one I'm most suspicious of.  I should know better than to befriend Outer Gods, but Nyarly's rather charming.  I have yet to see him take the exact same visage twice.  Our meetings normally entail afternoon tea and random, meandering conversations.  I should probably see him either more or less often. 

The return of Bablefish: Favorite Pokemon edition (English to Japanese and back again)

Yes, yes, another Bablefishing post, but it's all I could come up with, so today I'm Bablefishing the Pokedex entries of my favorite Pokemon, enjoy. Parentheses contain commentary.

Skarmory(Crystal Version)  Original: The feathers that it sheds are very sharp. It is said that people once used the feathers as swords.  Translated: The feather which that removes is very sharp. The people, it is said that the feather is used as one time sword.

 

Houndoom(Emerald Version)  Original:  In a Houndoom pack, the one with its horns raked sharply back serves a leadership role. They choose their leader by fighting among themselves.  Translated: In the pack of Houndoom, one of the back sections which are gathered clearly by angle is useful to the role of leadership. Those choose the leader with the fight in them themselves. (0_o)

Lucario(Diamond Version)  Original:It has the ability to sense the auras of all things. It understands human speech.  Translated: That has the function which feels the aura of all things. That understands the speech of the human. 

Charizard(Ruby/Sapphire Version)  Original: Charizard flies around the sky in search of powerful opponents. It breathes fire of such great heat that it melts anything. However, it never turns its fiery breath on any opponent weaker than itself.  Translated: Charizard seeking the powerful opposite person, flies around the sky. Depending upon that melts with anything the fire of that kind of large heat breathes. However, that never all opposition is weak does not turn from extreme breath itself. (Extreme Breath?)

Totodile(Gold/Leafgreen Versions)  Original: Its well-developed jaws are powerful and capable of crushing anything. Even its trainer must be careful.  Translated: The power which crushes with anything, thing can do the jaw which that well advances. The trainer must be careful.

Grovyle(Ruby Version) Original:The leaves growing out of Grovyle's body are convenient for camouflaging it from enemies in the forest. This Pokémon is a master at climbing trees in jungles.  Translated:  Grovyle' The empty the leaf which is brought up; The s body is convenient in order to cheat that from the enemy of the forest. This Pokémon is master in the wood of rise of the jungle. (That's rather poetic.  Grovyle, the empty leaf...)

Vaporeon(Emerald Version) Original: Vaporeon underwent a spontaneous mutation and grew fins and gills that allow them to live underwater. They have the ability to freely control water. Translated: Vaporeon mutation of spontaneousness the sutra, raised the gill and the fin which those try live that in underwater. Those have the function which controls the water freely.(Mutation of spontaneousness the sutra?  Try that live in underwater?  Confused...)

Clover the Wolf: An experiment with BableFish

I once again decided to play with BableFish, using various bit's of info and story fragments about my wolf OC Clover.  These are all Japanese. Enjoy!

Original: Clover waited impatiently, "Is the time machine ready yet?" She said, "Because I'm rather tired of waiting.

Original: Clover has a number of red markings on her fur, as well as an Elder Sign tattoo on her shoulder.

Engrished: Tattoo of the sign where her the shoulder is older in the clover, there is a sign where in addition several of her furs is red.

Original:Clover doesn't like it when BabelFish gets her biography wrong.

Engrished: Clover doesn' t when BabelFish obtains her biography wrongdoing, likes that.

Original: Clover is a red and white wolf who is also a time traveler.

Engrished: In addition as for the clover the traveler of time to be red and it is the white wolf.

Original: "BableFish," Said Clover, "I have tired of your shenanigans and shall go back in time and destroy your headquarters, for you have angered me so."

Original: Clover was tired of dealing with foolish machines, so she fell asleep under the sacred willow tree, not knowing demons often abducted those who slept beneath it, and Quasar wasn't exactly brave and heroic, so Clover could end up in horrible danger. Not that she can't fight for herself...

Engrished: The clover was tired in handling the foolish machine, therefore as for, she falling asleep, being Kinosita of holy [yanagi], not knowing the ogre you slept frequently under that, and quasar wasn' The person who is kidnapped; Being brave, the hero exactly t, therefore as for the clover it is possible to arrive fearful dangerously. Her can' who is not; ; The fight… of t because of her herself

Re: Nuns

I was watching something about nuns today and something seemed odd about these nuns, but I couldn't place what.  Later I figured it out. They didn't have heavy artillery.
